Inspired by the work of European lettering artists, Ulixa is a comic book typeface designed by Canadian designer and comic book aficionado, Branimir Zlamalik R.G.D. An accomplished designer and cartoonist (see his Smiles), Branimir drew inspiration from his extensive collection of vintage comic books from the 1960's and 70's. This 6-font family comes in 3 weights: light, regular and bold, with matching italics, for an extremely versatile collection of fonts. Like most cartoon-lettering styles, Ulixa is drawn in upper-case only, but lower-case character slots are populated with an alternative upper-case set. Compare U/c and l/c samples here: LIGHT | REGULAR | BOLD. Available for Mac or PC, in your choice of PostScript or TrueType. An OpenType version, when available, with on-the-fly replacement of double characters (as in 'foot') for a more hand-lettered look, will be distributed free of charge to licensed users.
